Merry CHRISTmas!

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."

Within the stressful, hectic time of Christmas and trying to make everything work, there have been many tender mercies. On Friday, December 23 (or as my friends would call it, Christmas Adam,) I had the chance to go to Temple Square with some friends. We got there late, just half an hour before the Christmas lights turned off, and still only went into the north Visitor's Center to go see the Cristus. We decided to have a few moments of silence as we sat there, crammed on the same couch, and those were perhaps the most peaceful moments I've had in a long time. I reflected on everything that Christ has ever done for me, for everybody. He atoned for our sins and died for us. He was resurrected and holds his arms out to us, to carry our burdens and to give us a helping hand. He has taught us everything we need to do in this life through his. He is the ultimate example of how we may return to our loving Heavenly Father. And this, my friends, is why we celebrate Christmas. We celebrate the birth of Christ because it is just the beginning of God's plan to save us. Christ came to earth for us!

I hope that we not only remember our Savior, Jesus Christ around Christmas, but throughout our lives so that we may live better, and therefore with more joy.

Hoping your Christmas is as Merry as mine,
Erin
