The Lady in the Golden Rain Coat

As I parked as close as I could get to the bus stop I noticed a woman sitting on the bench wearing a golden polyester rain coat. I thought it was unique, so without realizing it I began to stare. When I finally came to my senses, I looked at the woman's face and we caught eyes. I quickly looked away, but could still see her in the corner of my eye. She was laughing! I found this rather odd, so I pretended to look busy on my cell phone.
As I was avoiding any further chance of eye contact, I saw movement. The woman had gotten up and was walking toward me. I rolled down my window. "Hi, I was wondering what you're doing, sitting here," she said, "are you waiting for someone?" Yes, as a matter of fact I was waiting for someone and it happened to be my dad. So I told her so, but kindly of course. She then responded "Oh, okay. I just noticed you looking at me and I didn't know why you were doing so." As she walked away, I laughed to myself and rolled my window back up.
I then resumed my fake texting. Actually, I was going to tell my friend everything that just happened, but quickly stopped half way through my story because the woman was coming back. I rolled down my window once again. "The reason I came over here was because a couple of weeks ago, my daughter and I were here and there was a guy parked in this exact parking spot. He stared at us then came over and asked us to get into his car." Then the conversation was a little more casual because I could naturally respond to this kind of story without being offensive.
As she turned to leave, she said "My name is Alana by the way. I'm a local artist." Then she went on about where some of her art is featured, and she told me to look her work up on Facebook. With no further response from me, she once again left. I simply laughed and thought, that explains the golden rain coat.
