Next week my mom will get a pet scan that will be sent out of state to be studied. When the results come back the doctors here can come up with new treatments for necessary problem spots in her body. The doctors at the Huntsman will also retest the frozen tissue taken from my mom after her initial surgery to see if there's further information there on what may be the origin of the cancer.
We're all reaching for answers here, but until next week for the scan, then the following weeks of observation, all we can do is hope and wait in anticipation for more encouraging news.
