I've never been into reading until now. I'd always wondered why my friends could be so analytical about everything, but I've realized that that's what reading is for, to keep the brain active. That is why, my main goal for this semester is to actually read my textbook assignments for school.
I've recently started reading the Harry Potter series for the first time ever. I know, I know, I'm a little late, but it wasn't until I saw the 7th movie that I was so confused and HAD to know the details of it all. I read one and two fairly quickly, but the third took more time because I started school again. Now I'm on the fourth book and my little brother often comes and steals it. He started the series I don't know how long ago, but he's been on the fourth one for a long time. He's only about 200 pages in, but claims to be reading it still. No, he's not. He's reading Percy Jackson, Leven Thumps, Sherlock Holmes, amongst many other books. He just doesn't want me to pass him up.
Well, little brother it's about time I hide the book from YOU so I can get ahead. :)
P.S. My goal is to have them all finished before the last Harry Potter movie comes out in June.
Hi Erin. I've never met you, but Adrienne is one of my best and oldest friends. I followed her link to your blog because she said you had an update on your mom- hope you don't mind. When I saw you had a post about Harry Potter, I wanted to see what you had to say. I also started the series late, about a year and a half ago. There's a major advantage to that- you don't have to wait until the next book comes out, which is a VERY good thing as you start the later books- I don't know how anyone waited a year between them! If you don't have time to read, I HIGHLY recommend Harry Potter on CD. The reader is brilliantly talented, and you can listen while doing other things, like housework or exercising. It makes both way more pleasant. I just started the series for the second time. 1-3 are super quick, and 4-7 are hugely long. I'm about to start #4, too. Good luck and enjoy!
