IV Bound

103.9 pounds, and all of my mom's IVs have been changed to fit her needs. Now, instead of one liter of fluid dripping into her, she has two liters which is drawn in by an electronic pump just like the TPN requires. It'll take five hours now to go through. Since my mom lost five pounds in the last week, they also had to increase the amount of calories in her TPN bag. So, about 19 hours of the day, my mom is hooked up to IVs.
Her G-tube does some of its job, but she still throws up at least three times a day. The good news is that surprisingly, her platelets have come up a little, so yesterday she was able to get chemo! I pray that it will do its job, so that my mom may be cancer free!
