What a Little Music Can Do

Today I took my mom to the doctor to have her platelets checked. On Friday they were so low they couldn't do chemo, so this was a follow-up to make sure she could do it this Friday. Now, my mom hates having blood drawn, she always looks away with a hurt look on her face :( It was hard to watch her, but only for the few seconds where the needle was being put in. There was music playing, and the whole time the nurse was trying to find a vein, sticking my mom, and drawing the blood, my mom's favorite song was on: Smile by Uncle Cracker :) Right before and right after those painful seconds, my mom was singing along like no one was watching. I couldn't help but to laugh! Haha, I love my mom, she always finds the good in situations.
