My mom's platelet count! As of today, she was up to 64,000 so the doctor got some chemo started. He gave her the lesser drug so she can still build up more platelets. As she gets closer to the desired 100,000 the heavy duty stuff can come into play. We really want to get this chemo started to keep the cancer under control, and even to kill more of it off... so this is a step forward :)
This week I also received my grades for the semester. I was only worried about passing my math class that I took online. Math 1030: Contemporary Math... UGH! It was all practical math, but learning it on my own was really difficult. I know, you're probably thinking "why the heck did you take it online?" My reasoning was this: anytime I've needed help with math in the past, I would never speak up and ask for it. Not to my classmates, not to my professor... I just managed on my own. So I figured taking math online wouldn't make a difference. Turns out, I passed my math class with a B-, a whole grade better than I'd expected :)
I also did better in my Architectural Drafting class than I'd expected. The whole class was based on projects, and on the majority of them I got high B grades, so that's what I though my grade would be in the end. No, I got an A- :)
Yeah for Erin! ;)
