Friday

Rebecca Black's "hit" 'Friday' has had skyrocketed views on YouTube this past week. Why? I HAVE NO IDEA! She can't even sing. Her tone of voice is just down right nasally, and it makes me want to vomit (actually, I just barely finished playing it for my mom, and before it even finished, she sat down and threw up. No joke.) I first heard about it on Facebook yesterday. I looked at the group, and got curious as to what was so great about this song. I'm not sure if everyone likes it because it's fun to make fun of something so horrible, or if they actually think it's good.
I watched a video on someone's views on Rebecca's nasty song, and it pointed out that the chorus of 'Friday' is oddly similar to Justin Bieber's hit 'Baby.' Ha! The kid was right!
Similarities between the two: both are teeny-boppers trying to get their big break, and their songs are repetitive and very child-like. Differences: Justin Bieber can actually sing. He has talent that Rebecca does not.

In other news, my mom was not able to get chemo today. She hasn't had it in 5 weeks now, and her platelets still aren't up. We thought she could get chemo after her platelet infusion on Monday, but  no... There's something going on in my mom's body that is not right. So, next Tuesday she's going in to get a Smear and talk to the doctor. A Smear is when they take your blood and do a bunch of tests to figure out if there's some malfunction in the production of platelets or red and white blood cells. Then hopefully we'll be able to see more of what's going on inside my mom.
Today, mom's pain has lessened significantly. She only throws up once or twice in a day, thanks to her G-tube, which is hooked up to a bag, similar to a Catheter. In that, things are improving, but there has been a whole new door opened concerning my mom's platelet production.
